In our last blog I mentioned that I was going to get you "manspired" by Pantone's colour of the year - Ultra Violet! At first thought it may seem like a very feminine colour to use in a space but when you incorporate it into your decor with texture and add the right accessories you can still have the Bachelor Masculine look that you desire! And on that note...here are 3 simple tips to follow when you're adding some Ultra Violet!
1. Velvets Velvets Velvets - When adding a colour that may seem a bit daunting to your space, try and think instead of a texture that seems a bit more interesting and even luxurious, so that when you add a splash of it into your decor it becomes more of a statement piece. The great thing about purple is that it's a darker shade of colour, to which when an added touch of luxury...like velvet is incorporated, it can create a more expensive and mysterious atmosphere to your room. 2. A Cool Piece of Art - Committing to a purple piece of furniture could seem like a lot, especially if you're not starting from scratch and just looking to update the look of your place. So a simple and more budget friendly way to add some Ultra Violet in a masculine form would be through art! It could be a canvas, maybe a set purple electric guitars or even a collage wall of pictures you've taken along the way! Get creative and make it your own because in reality whether your space looks feminine or masculine...that's what matters the most!

Find A Cool Fixture - Okay so you've added some purple to your space and you take a step back and you're maybe still a little unsure if it's the right look for you....have a look at your light fixtures! Sometimes it can be a really big transitional piece that can easily change the finished look of your space!
