Fave Fall Trends For 2018!

It's absolutely crazy to think that the end of August is right around the corner, and although I have truly enjoyed my summer; when I have a look at the Fall Trends for this year I am so inspired! I have always loved the feeling of fall, the warmth can be felt and seen all around you in a way that no other season can provide. It's not the scorching heat of summer, or the feeling of a hot bath after playing in the snow.....it's a warmth that starts from the inside of your soul. It's the feeling of change, preparedness and solitude. A time where you want to be at home, under your soft warm blankets, with your head resting on your new Mongolian pillow (Thanks Urban Barn!!). As much as I am not ready to say goodbye to summer, having a look at the Fall Trends for 2018 has me extremely excited.
Here's a look at my Favourite Design Trends for Fall 2018!!
Colour:
The colour trends for fall this year are on two ends of the spectrum! On one hand there's a trend of bold, dark hues that create an intense and moody design; and on the other hand we see a trend of pastel-like colours that pair together to create a muted and feminine look....which one do you think you would decorate with??

Pattern:
This fall's pattern inspirations go back to the classics, and I am all for it! Some of my most favourite patterns, aka - Herringbone, can be inspired from those staples and patterns. Adding these to your interior decor will create a timeless/rich look that will truly never go out of style!

Fabrics:
Although pattern trends lead to a traditional and classic sense of interior style, we can see ourselves looking to the future in regards to how we showcase these patterns through or fabric trends. You can see a trend towards mixing finishes in a space; to take those classic patterns and incorporate them with futuristic and oftentimes simplistic finishes (like faux leathers and opaque elements). It's also becoming more important for designs to be more interactive. For example there's a very large movement towards the senses; to how the fabric looks and how it feels to the touch.

So I guess with all of that being said let's enjoy the rest of the summer that Canada has in store for us because once those temperatures start dropping I'm sure we'll all be longing for more of that summer sun!
