3 Things To Remember When Decorating For V-Day!

Alright gentlemen...I'm on a mission to keep you inspired! So this month's 'Find Your Feature' is for YOU.....
Featuring...The Bedroom!!!
Very cliché I know...but it's February and Valentine's Day is around the corner!! It just so happens that it lands on a Wednesday and it's very likely that most people will be needing to go to work the next day, so planning a night in might be the easier thing to do this year! But even if you do have a special night booked somewhere...I'm sure some of you, men and women alike, might be looking for some tips on how to decorate the perfect Valentine's Day Bedroom!
So here's what you have to remember when making a list of things that you want to pick up. Yes I do recommend making a list...just in case you forget something that you wanted to get to make everything perfect for your beau!
*** Just think about The Senses***
1- Smell: Whether we realize it or not, we often take in a real big sniff when we first walk into a space; can't help it...it's just human nature! So if you know you partners fave scent then add that to your list, if not pick up a few candles that actually have some smell to them instead of the 8 hour tealight option! Those may set the right mood in terms of the way it looks but really do nothing for that initial enveloping smell when you walk into a room, like one that has a candle from Bath & Body Works going! *hint*
2- Sight: Alright so you've got them in the door and it smells great! Now you just need something for your significant other to look at and get even more excited about. And no...I'm sorry but just a little bit more than yourself would be a really nice gesture! You don't have to do anything crazy...pick up a box of chocolates and have a bottle of wine ready. Or even a teddy bear that they can hold on to, if you're feeling super romantic write them a sweet letter of all the reasons they have made your life for the better! And if you're feeling on the adventurous side maybe pop into a home décor store and pick up some nice soft pink pillows and a blanket to match!
3 - Touch: Speaking of soft pillows and blankets, having something nice to touch is maybe one of the most forgotten senses when decorating for Valentine's Day! Whether it's the feeling of those beautiful rose petals under your skin or resting your head on an extremely soft mongolian pillow and furry blanket, having that last sense fulfilled will just be icing on top of the cake...maybe even the cherry! Don't be afraid to walk into your local home décor store to find the perfect fuzzy and when in doubt just ask a sales associate for their fave recommendation and I'm sure they will steer you in the right direction!
It's that easy...just remember something good they can smell, something for the eye to see and something for the hands to touch! And always try to remember that every person wants to be romanced differently...get to know your partner before you buy daisy scented candles, a box of chocolates and a romantic movie when what they really want is a cucumber melon candle, some skittles and a thriller! Don't ever be afraid to ask those kinds of things before making any rash desert decisions!!
